Build Process

The extreme standards R Bros holds each and every rifle too

As with all the builds, I use exacting machine tolerances and monitor them throughout the entire build. A lot of shops reference .0002” concentricity, I actually guarantee it. Every step of the machining process is checked and made sure that concentricity to the bore is .0001” or less. The final check is the chamber runout. Checked in 3 places from the throat to the breach to make sure runout is less than .0001”. If it doesn’t meet this spec then it’s redone. This helps ensure the accuracy level to guarantee that all the builds will shoot well under the ½ MOA guarantee. The shop has changed to where we carry an inventory of barrels, stocks, actions, triggers, etc so that the lead-times can remain low. In the world of custom rifles it’s not uncommon to have to wait 10 months or more. Carrying inventory has allowed me to either have rifles in stock ready to ship, or at the maximum, a 4 month lead-time. One program I started last year was to have rifles built up “in the white”. This would allow customers to order them and choose their colors, still making it their own custom. These rifles usually ship within 2-3 weeks. The entire build process in handled in house by the owner, Travis Redell, from start to finish.
